Nakisubaku

なきすばく

Translation: crying tapeworm
Habitat: the abdomen

Appearance: Nakisubaku are long white worms with heads at both ends of their bodies.

Behavior: If you squeeze the belly of an infected person, the worms let out an audible cry.

Interactions: The only symptom of this infection is that the patient’s stomach growls. They are easily cleared out by ingesting nira (garlic chives, Allium tuberosum) and binrōshi (seeds of the areca palm, Areca catechu).
